The Federal University Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA) in Katsina State has expressed deep appreciation to Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, President of the MAAUN Group of Universities, for his generous donation of two ambulances and a 60-seater luxury bus to the institution.
The commendation was made by FUDMA's Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ar’mayau Bichi, during a recent visit by the University’s management staff to Prof. Gwarzo in Kano. The visit was primarily to convey the university’s gratitude for the invaluable support that Prof. Gwarzo has extended to FUDMA.
Prof. Bichi acknowledged the philanthropist's continuous contributions towards the university's growth, emphasizing that the provision of ambulances and a large-capacity bus is crucial for improving the learning environment and operational efficiency at FUDMA.
He also emphasized the potential for stronger collaboration between the two institutions, expressing confidence that this gesture would further solidify the positive relationship between FUDMA and MAAUN.
As a token of gratitude, Prof. Bichi, on behalf of the university's Senate, management staff, and students, presented Prof. Gwarzo with a Letter of Appreciation, recognizing his ongoing support for the institution.
In response, Prof. Gwarzo underscored the importance of making lasting contributions that leave a positive legacy. He reiterated his commitment to enhancing education in Northern Nigeria, with a focus on increasing the number of graduates and improving the overall quality of education.
Prof. Gwarzo also spoke about the significance of branding, reputation building, and cultivating a strong academic profile to gain global recognition and opportunities. He highlighted the importance of international collaboration and improving university rankings, which play a key role in securing grants and boosting a university’s standing.
Additionally, Prof. Gwarzo emphasized the need for universities to create a conducive environment for intellectual growth and innovation, encouraging institutions to forge their own paths to success rather than depending solely on government funding.
