The founder and President of MAAUN Group of Universities, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, has condoled with the former First Lady, Hajia Maryam Sani Abacha over the passing away of her Chief Security Officer, Alhaji Musa Ya'u.
Aged 55, Alhaji Musa Ya'u died in Abuja on Wednesday, 15th May, 2024 following a brief illness.
The condolence message was contained in a statement personally signed by Prof. Gwarzo and made available to newsmen in Kano on Wednesday.
Prof. Gwarzo also expressed his deepest and heartfelt condolences to the family of the late CSO whom he described as a committed and hard working security officer.
He described the demise of Alhaji Musa Ya'u as a great loss not only to his immediate family, but to the entire family of the former First Lady.
"On behalf of myself and the MAAUN Group of Universities, I wish to extend our heartfelt condolences to our mother, Hajia Maryam Abacha over the sudden death of Alhaji Musa Ya'u.
"May the Almighty Allah give the entire family the fortitude to bear the huge loss," Prof. Gwarzo said in the condolence message.
Prof. Gwarzo prayed to the Almighty Allah to forgive and grant the deceased the highest level of Jannah (Jannatul Firdaus).
The deceased, who left behind an aged mother, one wife and eight children, would be buried on Thursday, 16th May, 2024, in his hometown, Katsina in accordance with the Islamic rites.
