The Bauchi State 10th House of Assembly, through its New Media Unit, Information and Publication Directorate, has extended warm wishes to Christians and the entire people of Bauchi State on the joyous occasion of Christmas and the forthcoming New Year celebrations.
In a goodwill message jointly signed by the Speaker of the Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Y. Suleiman, and the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Jamilu Umar Dahiru, the leadership of the House commended Christians for their dedication to promoting peace, unity, and love within the state. They emphasized that the festive season is a time to reflect on the virtues of compassion, sacrifice, and togetherness exemplified by Jesus Christ.
The Speaker lauded the harmonious coexistence among different faiths in Bauchi State, describing it as a cornerstone of the state’s stability and progress. He called on citizens to sustain this spirit of tolerance and mutual respect, which continues to foster development and societal growth.
“Christmas is not only a time for celebration but also for reaffirming our commitment to peace and unity as a state. Let us continue to support one another and prioritize the collective good of our people,” Rt. Hon. Suleiman stated.
The Deputy Speaker, Hon. Jamilu Umar Dahiru, urged residents to celebrate the season responsibly and extend a hand of support to the less privileged. He reiterated the Assembly’s dedication to promoting policies and legislations that enhance the well-being of all citizens in the state.
As the New Year approaches, the House reassured citizens of its unwavering commitment to good governance, inclusive development, and the advancement of democratic values.
