HRH the Gara of Donga was delighted to receive the alumni of Donga Science School, Taraba state, kitted in white school uniform, reminiscent of the past. 

The Old Boys, led by Prof Auwal Muhammad Abubakar, the immediate past Chief Medical Director, Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital, M.A.U.T.H Yola, Adamawa state, having commended the Gara for receiving them, lamented the sorry state of the science school's constraints depicted in the dilapidated laboratories, library classrooms, inadequate teachers and teaching materials.

Delighted to receive the old boys, HRH the Gara assured that he would do his monarchical best to engage the state government to have the school that produces scholars, leaders, politicians and professionals across the country and beyond, regain its glory as citadel of knowledge.

The Gara, revealing his efforts trying to have the North East Development Commission, NEDC, intervene in the school, invited the old boys, some of whom could have access to the NEDC, to key into the call for support to salvaging the science schools.

Among the activities marking the old boys 2024 convention is the drilling of boreholes in the school.

The convention, which started from Wednesday, is scheduled to close Saturday with the swearing in of the executive members of the association, launching and presentation of awards of honour among others
