MAUTH mosque subsidized food items to narrow the economic hardship in Yola

It was earlier this morning that the managing committee of Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital mosque embark on the selling of food items that was purchased and subsidized by the mosque committee so as to cushion the effect of economic hardship and the high cost of living in Yola, Adamawa state capital.

Mallam Haruna Yawale, the Chief Imam of Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital mosque in Yola, states on an interview with Mika'il Danjuma Mubi that no any aid of financial assistance from government or non governmental organization or any individual in the exercise rather is the money sourced by the mosque committee through the aid of "FISABILILLAHI"( an Islamic mean of donation) that was used to purchase the food items and subsidize it to a lower price.

" we began this exercise with a minimum 1 million naira that the mosque gathered and we sell rice, maggi cube and Cooking oil in our effort to ease the hardship in our people".

"This exercise will continue in as much as we gain another donations " the Chief Imam added.

" Am really glad to express my happiness as I grap my own subsidized rice,maggi and oil, I bought 3 bowl of rice at ₦2,225 instead of ₦4,500, half pack of maggi seasoning cube at ₦200 instead of ₦400 and a big bottle of cooking oil at ₦550 instead of ₦1,100".

Rawana also call on the government, non governmental organizations and people with means to embark on such exercise to help the poor once.

There's no doubt if the Government, NGO'S and Businessmen will get involved, there will be drastic improvement in leaving standard of masses.
