The All Progress Congress (APC) caretaker committee interim Chairman of Yola South Local Government Area of Adamawa State, Alhaji Suleiman Adamu denied and distanced himself from a viral audio and report credited to him of abusing President Muhammadu Buhari.
Suleiman who signed a press statement and made available to this medium said the purported audio in circulation in many social media platforms was doctored by some enemies of APC in the state.
He reiterated that the stakeholders meeting of their, party APC at the residence of former commissioner Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in Yola on Sunday 08-08-2021 to have came out saying that he wish Buhari dead of corovirus is baseless.
He said the story making round that: ” I don’t know why Coronavirus didn’t kill Buhari” was malicious falsified to brew political hatred among party faithfuls ahead of 2023 general elections.
“The purported audio in circulation is fake, baseless, malicious, and intentionally doctored by some enemies of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to dent my image and other high profile stakeholders in attendance during the meeting which was organized to strengthen the unity of the party.
“What transpired during the said meeting were issues regarding the unity and progress of our political party.
“We have not complained, abuse or disrespect anybody during the meeting.
“Hence, President Muhammadu Buhari is the leader of our party and we have respect for him and the constituted authorities.
“I vehemently deny the existence of the conversation such as in the audio recording and I have already lodged a report to appropriate security agencies for the investigation to be carried out to identify the mastermind of this act.” Adamu said
