The Northeast Development Commission (NEDC), in partnership with the Ubola Rural Community Foundation (URCF), recently distributed dignity kits to 600 students in Taraba State.
This initiative aims to restore dignity and promote hygiene among school children affected by the Boko Haram insurgency
The distribution which took place in Magami Government Day Secondary School, Government Day Secondary School Model, Jalingo and Malum Community in Ardo Kola local government area
The dignity kits contain essential items such as sanitary pads, hair cream, sanitary towels, underwear, and mats.
These provisions are designed to improve hygiene standards and instill a sense of dignity among the students as they pursue their education.
The distribution ceremony was attended by officials from the NEDC and URCF, who emphasized the importance of education and dignity in the lives of these students.
The initiative is part of a broader effort to support the most vulnerable populations in the region and promote a sense of hope and resilience.
This effort is particularly significant in Taraba State, where many schools lack basic amenities, including toilet facilities and clean water.

Already, similar event has taken place in Borno and Gombe states where students have benefitted from Ubola Rural Community Foundation and the North East Development Commission in the second phase of this project
