GANYE BYE-ELECTION : APC Denies Reported Factional Crisis

Contrary to recent media reports by DAILY POST suggesting internal crisis and factionalism within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in southern Adamawa, party leaders and stakeholders have dismissed such claims as misleading and politically motivated.

Stakeholders reaffirmed that the APC remains united and focused as preparations intensify for the upcoming bye-election scheduled for August 2025 in the Ganye State Constituency.

In a well-attended stakeholders’ meeting held at the residence of Alhaji Sadiq Muhammadu Kalu, prominent party figures from across Ganye Chiefdom including representatives from Jada, Tongo, and Mayo-Belwa gathered in solidarity to strategize for electoral victory. The peaceful gathering was aimed at reinforcing cooperation and ensuring that the APC retains the legislative seat previously held by the late Hon. Abdulmalik Jauro Musa.

Among those in attendance were respected party elders, such as Alhaji Mansur Tongo, and various local leaders who expressed full commitment to the party’s success.

Speaking after the meeting, party sources confirmed that no individual was expelled, and no aspirant was barred from contesting. The gathering was described as consultative and inclusive, with all attendees pledging to support the eventual candidate chosen through a fair and transparent process.

Stakeholders also dismissed claims of a split within the party, labeling such narratives as “a tired script recycled during every election cycle to sow confusion and discredit the APC’s growing grassroots support.”

Party members are now calling on the media to verify reports before publication and avoid amplifying unsubstantiated claims that seek to distort the facts.

As the campaign season approaches, the APC in Ganye and the wider southern zone of Adamawa is presenting a unified front, determined to consolidate its position and deliver dividends of democracy to its constituents.
