The price of the dollar continues to fall in Nigeria


The price of the dollar is falling in the currency exchange market in Nigeria from 940 naira to 890 naira on Wednesday morning according to the report obtained by the BBC from the exchange market in the southern city of Lagos.

The data shows that on Tuesday morning, the dollar was sold at 940 naira, and in the evening, it fell to 927 naira in the exchange market in Lagos.

This is coming after a meeting with the Acting Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Folashodun Shonubi, with President Bola Tinubu on Monday at the state house in Abuja, on how to revive the value of the Naira.

In the foreign exchange market in Abuja, on Wednesday morning, the dollar fell to 900 naira, while on Tuesday morning, it was sold at 947 naira, and at night, it went down to 910 naira.

Also in Kano in the northern part of the country, information from the foreign exchange market shows that the dollar fell from 946 naira on Tuesday morning to 900 naira this Wednesday morning.

Last night, the dollar started falling in the Kano foreign exchange market where it went down to 927 naira.

This incident shows that the value of the naira has begun to recover.
