From Hajiya Halima M. Bala to Alhaji Mustapha Usman Migawa, from a loving sister to a caring brother, Modibbo Adama University, MAU Yola, Adamawa state continues to have competent, capable and credible Registrars with the speedy innovative and fascinating expansion of the academic institution.
Can it be incidental coincidence or coincidental incidence? To date, the neighbours at university staff quarters, Centre Distance Learning, Yola both Halima and Migawa were made in UNIMAID; graduated the same year; 1992 and were interviewed and employed the same day in 1998.
Both served at different times as public relations officers in the university, hence were and are NIPR members who have even held executive positions at the Adamawa state chapter of the Institute.
I'm told that both rose through the ranks to become Senior Deputy Registrars in charge of Council Affairs among other similar responsibilities before the made in UNIMAID could be made Registrars with one succeeding the other.
Halima's tenure is to say the least, commendable, worthy to be congratulated for completing a daunting service devoid of any complication.
Migawa's appointment is worthy of congratulations and the exercise that singled him out for the new task is equally commendation worthy.
General Murtala Muhammad College, GMMC Yola, old boy, the economist, financial expert and administrator, Migawa holds BSc and MSc in Economics, MBA in Finance and Advanced Certificate in Computer.
For membership of professional bodies, Migawa is a Fellow, Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) Fellow, Institute of Personal Managers and Administrators (IPMA), Member, Nigerian Economic Society (MNES) and Associate, Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) to mention a few.
Mine is simple, registering satisfaction with commendation and congratulations to both sister, brother and senior colleagues for successful tenure in peace and for the new task ahead.
May Allah SWT continue to guard and guide you both to the successful endeavours.
