The Fulbe Development and Cultural Organisation, FUDECO joins in mourning Barkaaji for the demise of the blessed daughter of its Trustee, the Registrar and Secretary to Council Prime University, PU, Abuja and the first KaaKaaKey Fombina, Abubakar Abba Tahir PhD
The blessed vicenarian, lovely wife and caring mother inhaled her final, prayerfully blissful, breath on Thursdays, October, 10, 2024, a day FUDECO Adamawa was said have acknowledged receipt of the royal message, honouring its invitation, stating that KaaKaaKey Fombina - a monarchical dynasty beyond Adamawa and Cameroon boundaries with headquarters in Yola, the Adamawa Emirate - would be representing HRH Lamido Adamawa Dr Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Musdafa, at National Day of Pulaaku celebration, in tune with the UNESCO cultural heritage scheduled for Saturday, September 12, 2024 at FadFatis event centre, Jimeta, Yola North local government headquarters, Adamawa state, from 10am.
In a message to members Friday, confirming the sad incident, the FUDECO National Chairman, Malam Sali Sadou Nana said "I have been in touch with Prof. Abubakar Abba Tahir. Our thoughts are with him and his family at this difficult moment. It is a very painful death.
"His deceased daughter (Barkaaji) and her elder sister (Adda Suuri) were married together in June 2023, last Ramadan, each of them was blessed with a daughter.
"The deceased fell ill last month and gave up yesterday in Yola leaving behind her 5-month old baby.
"Aged 23, Barkaaji was a final year student of Economics at FCE Yola.
"May Allah forgive Barkaaji. Allah mawnin bingel ma'ako hokky badii6e ma'ako munyal.
Kullu nafsin za'ikatul mawt".
The courageously father, scholar and school administrator, the KaaKaakey, who only few days ago scribbled a touching tribute, mourning Senator Jonathan Silas Zwingina, in addition to representing Lamido Adamawa at the the Maiden National Pulaaku Day Celebration, hosted by the FUDECO, supported by Furo Internacional De Mujeras Indigenas (FIMI), a Spanish-based NGO that supports women across the globe, and AYNI, a champion of indigenous women’s empowerment across Africa, will also exhibit on of his special interests in life, "poetry scripting and rendition in Fulfulde and English".
